3 PM Show

Moriah Maldonado

Moriah Maldonado has been taking classes at Iron City Circus Arts for 8 years. Her routine is heavily inspired by Lady Gaga's performance in 2009 at the VMAs. If you don't remember that performance, this might not make much sense. Please just clap when she does cool things (and splits!).

Penelope Murphy is 13 and has been at ICCA for the last 6 years.  Her favorite apparatus is silks, and she will be performing to the song "Skeleton Sam." Penelope is on the Riverview Junior High Football team and plans on joining the girl's wrestling team this winter.  In her free time, Penelope loves to draw and cuddle with her cat.

Lexie Reinhart

It’s a God-awful small affair.

Stephanie Richard

The things that haunt us don't have to pull us down. We can overcome our fears. She goes from cold and afraid to standing her ground.

6 PM Show

Sarah Genis

Sarah Genis moved to Pittsburgh this July in an SUV packed to the gills with two cats, a dog, and dozens of houseplants. Originally from PA, she's spent the last 20 years in Chicago and has been taking recreational aerial classes at Aloft Circus Arts for the past six years or so. You could say she's taken to Lyra... like a moth to a flame.

Anna Jablonowski

Anna Jablonowski has been in performance arts much of her life, including ballet, rhythmic gymnastics, and now Aerial Silks. Fun fact: she’s performed on every major stage in Pittsburgh.

Lexi Ferguson & Matthew Clark

Lexi Ferguson has been an aerialist at ICCA for 5 years, and Matthew Clark has been a competitive ballroom dancer for the past 6 years. They met here at ICCA last year and are excited to combine both of their passions in this performance, which can be described as “not your mother’s Twilight.”

Lindsay Surmacz

Lindsay Surmacz is a vampire in the daylight. RUN!

Andrea Weinstein

Andrea Weinstein just passed her 2 year aerial anniversary. She loves practicing at Iron City Circus Arts along with her husband and their daughter. In her first solo showcase routine, Andrea is a werewolf playfully dancing around the moon.

Liz Wildenhain

Liz Wildenhain would like to thank everyone who helped make this gargoyle-themed trapeze act possible. She would also like to apologize to Bach for cutting the fugue out of his "Toccata and Fugue." She hopes you enjoy watching this act as much as she did preparing it!

Justin Liu

Each of us has a dream, a heart's desire that calls to us. When we are brave enough to listen and bold enough to pursue, that dream will lead us on a journey to discover who we’re meant to be.

Natalie Baum

Anyone who’s seen “A Goofy Movie” knows that Powerline is the greatest rock star on the planet. Now, he’s an aerialist too! Enjoy watching him stand out in a whole new way!

Ruthi Dede

Ruthi Dede is “Alice” as she chases Wonderland’s “Cheshire Cat” and “Bread and Butterfly” into a silk portal that stretches, confuses, and enamors her. Aren’t we all like Alice in the way that aerial arts lured us in and captured our hearts completely?

Jenly Deiter

Jenly Deiter adores the community that has grown here at ICCA and is beyond proud of all of the performers.  It’s been quite some time since she’s been able to put together a solo for showcase because, well, sometimes life just gets ultra lifey.  Thanks to the encouragement of several of her colleagues and students, she’s pleased to take the stage again today alongside these wonderful humans. She sends big love to everyone for being by her side these past many years.

Janet Peters

In my six years as an aerialist, each performance tells a story. Tonight, I navigate the complexities of grief and loss, embodying the ups and downs of healing. Just as you see your way forward, something reminds you of an old loss, and you must start anew – a little stronger each time. This one is for my mom.

Amrit Moore

I only go to sports for the food. This routine is dedicated to the queen of Pittsburgh foods. Let’s go Bucs-wild!

Shelley Rowe

Shelley Rowe is a mom of 3 who started her aerial journey 4 years ago.  Prior to aerial, she and her kids competed in Ninja Warrior, and for most of her childhood and early adult years, she was heavily involved in martial arts.  Shelley works as a computer programmer for the University of Pittsburgh and loves spending time with her kids, working out, and building a happy and healthy life.

Justice Williams

Justice Williams was born and raised in Pittsburgh. A true yinzer. I’m 17 years old and have been doing aerial for almost 3 years. My interest in flying/aerial pole started my pole journey 2 years ago. I struggled with adapting to flying pole, but I fell in love with it. Now I can’t live without it. One of my long-term goals is to become a flying pole instructor. This routine is what I consider the very first step towards that goal. My song represents the struggle and growth of my fitness journey. As well as the novelty of flying pole. Shoutout to Alex for being there to support and inspire me!

Shelby Shingle

Shelby Shingle (aerialist/teacher/performer since 2013) writes a love letter to her Sling, Jigglypuff.

Sarah Moslen

Sarah Moslen wants to spend her entire life being as dramatic as possible.

Angela's Dynamics Class

It takes a special kind of person to sign up for Dynamics class. Adrianne, Aleena, Angela, and Jeremy have all taken the plunge. Will you be the next to join us? Or will we have to pull you in?
